RINGWORM PCR — TARGETED DETECTION

The Ringworm PCR assay detects the three most common dermatophyte pathogens:

• Microsporum canis
• Microsporum gypseum
• Trichophyton mentagrophytes

These species are the most frequent causes of dermatophytosis in veterinary patients.

Important Clinical Insight

Ringworm PCR is target-specific.
Dermatophyte species outside these targets will not be detected by PCR, but can be identified
